Putting off an eye examination can prove very costly. It is very important to go for an eye test regularly to prevent any major eye ailment. An eye test, besides revealing your myopic, hyperopic condition also reveals any serious eye conditions, which when diagnosed on time can prevent it from developing further. An example of this is glaucoma.
Glaucoma is a disease that is very often not diagnosed on time. If left untreated, it can lead to serious sight loss or even blindness. A simple eye test can detect glaucoma, and its growth can easily be arrested.
Glaucoma usually affects people over the age of 40. But everyone from the age of three years should go for a regular eye test.
